Miniature Australian Shepherds UK

Thank You

Thank you to all the people who through kindness and hardwork helped to bring Rizzo to the UK and start the Mini Aussie lines over here!

First of all the most MASSIVE THANK YOU  to Shirley Wells of Dancin Dragonfliyz Mini Aussies in Florida who was Rizzos breeder and is Rizzos second mum!

Thank you doesnt seem to be the right words to express our gratitude for what Shirley did for us. She not only bred Rizzo but she then looked after her for 10 months. Shirley organised all the vet visits in the US and she always kept us updated on Rizzos growing up with countless photos and videos - it was almost as good as being there with Rizzo.

Rizzo had a brilliant start to life living with Shirley and Ray. They looked after her like their own and did their very best for Rizzo. What they had to do was not only bring up a puppy (which is very hard work!) but they had say goodbye to Rizzo at the end of the 10 months.

Thank you Shirley - you have been amazing and i will always be grateful.

Special thanks to Tank who was Rizzos best buddy. She still knows your name Tank! Im sure you taught her how to be such a little tomboy and play rough and tumble with the boys!! She plays for hours and is always right in the middle of a game!

Rizzo will make you so so proud! She is going to be such a star in agility and her puppies in the future will continue your lines - continue your dogs fantastic character and beautiful looks.

Next i need to say a huge thank you to Lori Mc Clelland of Gottabe mini aussies.

Lori has given us the honour of using her multi champion dog "Gottabes Spot The Winner" aka Freckles. Freckles is stunning and we are so proud to be using him as the foundation stud for our lines in the UK with Rizzo. Lori - Thank you for being so patient and helpful. You have offered me some invaluable advice and i feel privaleged to be working with you to introduce the breed to the UK. We are very pleased and proud of the wonderful litter that Rizzo and your beautiful Freckles produced.

I look forward to years of working with you and your wonderful dogs.

Lori with Freckles as a puppy!

Many thanks to Barbara Binder from the ICSB. You have been very helpful and have put yourself out to make things easier for us. My sincere thanks for working things out so nicely. I'll be emailing you the puppy photos later this year!!

To all the vets that have helped us on Rizzos jouney:-

To Amy, Susan and staff of the University Veterinay Medical Centre in Gainesville, Florida.. You sorted out the paperwork perfectly for us and enabled Rizzo to enter the UK without a hitch. I have heard from Shirley how nice you were with Rizzo and how the veterinary nurses made such a fuss of her. Thank you for being so sweet with Rizzo and for all your work.

To  Dr. Marvin Altom  of North Hills Veterinary Clinic in Reno . Thank you for sorting out all the paperwork concerning Freckles semen. I know that you had to sign the form in a hurry and thank you for dealing with it so quickly enabling us to get the container sent to the UK in time. I really appreciate your time and co-operation.

To Maia and Paul Boland at the Brodie Veterinary Surgery in Liverpool, UK. Thank you for all your kindness and skilled work artificially inseminating Rizzo. You have been very helpful, supportive and knowledgable.

Thank you to everyone that made Rizzos journey to the UK as stress free as possible and for all the kindness you showed to Rizzo. Waggin Wheels in Jacksonville, Florida did a very professional and caring job of taking Rizzo all the way from Dunnellon to Miami and checking her in at the airport for us. It was probably one of the most confusing days in Rizzos life but you made it so much the easier for her by being so nice and letting her sit next to you on the front seat!

Also many thanks to the staff at the Heathrow animal reception centre who looked after her so well during her first few hours in this country.

Finally but by no means least thank you to my angel Bess who is sadly no longer with us. She was my first aussie who was also a rescue dog. It took her over a year with us before she would bark and play. She certainly made up for lost time in her last few years and the memories of her will forever be with me. She started my love of the breed and she lives on in her son Buddy.

I love you both with all my heart and although nothing will ever replace you Bess, I hope that the pleasure our Mini Aussie puppies bring to us & their new familes pays tribute to the love, trust & joy that you gave to us x x x x x x x
